nisha: i have a question; Krishna says
the soul cannot be cut.. or wet... in gita. How can that be explained?
bindu: It means it is impossible for a non-existent thing to be effected by
anything; hence it cannot live or die.. sri Krishna says: "No one lives and no
one dies"... He says: "You never became. Then He shows Sri Arjuna his cosmic
form and Arjuna has a heart attack and says: "Oh Lord please hide your true
nature from me, i am terrified!".
nisha: So how can u say that the soul is less in quantity.. because He says the
soul is eternal it has always existed.
bindu: HIS SOUL... is the ONLY SOUL ... the soul in us IS HIM it is NOT OURS nor
US it is HIM; So in saying it the way He said it nishu, this answer fits both
modes; for example: If it is non-existent it cannot be cut, if it is His or Him
it cannot be cut either as He is the one who is cut, the knife and the one
holding the knife also.
nisha: i don't understand this notion of quantity measurement.. how can we
measure something that cannot be separated from The Self.. or cut from The
Supreme Self.. and say it is less in quantity.. how can we talk about the soul
nature in terms of quantities?
nisha: No ji, Krishna didn't say the soul doesn't exist, He said it is eternal.
bindu: You miss the subtle point nisha.
nisha: You are saying that if it is Him .. then there is no separateness, i
understand.
bindu: He is not saying the soul does not exist He is saying it cannot be cut
etc... He does say it is eternal ... but since He is the only Self there is,
THAT SOUL He is referring to is Him\His .... it is NOT the Jiva.
nisha: Then if it is Him.. how can u talk about quantity of souls?
bindu: Who said anythinng about quantity today? not me.
nisha: How can one say due to the quantity .. it is associating with the
material nature.. and believes it is of matter when it is not. It is the Soul...
that is associating with the material nature.. believing it is of matter due to
its quantity.
bindu: You are talking of Prahbhupada i believe, but that particular soul to
which you are referring is HIS AND HIM AND IS THE ONLY SOUL IN EXISTENCE, so he
deludes himself with his Maya to enjoy His own Self as Radha (which is his
potency or Sakti). i said, there are multiplicities of reflections in His own
consciousness which are only SEEMING to be limited in efficacy
Since Krishna is the SOUL yes ... he has limited Himself by associating with His
material nature (with His Yoga Maya) the error of the normal understanding of
this lies in the fact that it is said that the Jiva is associating with the
material nature and is for that reason deluded; but it is not the Jiva who is
associating - it is sri Krishna Himself.
So when He realizes Himself as Himself in Himself, there is no more the question
of any Jeeva. The Jeeva are The reflection of sri Krishna in His OWN
consciousness.
That reflection IS NOT OCCURRING IN THE CONSCIOUSNESS OF THE JIVA BECAUSE THERE
IS NO SUCH THING AS THE JIVA LET ALONE ANY CONSCIOUSNESS THAT IS HIS OR COULD BE
HIS IN WHICH IT COULD OCCUR. NOTHING OCCURS IN THE JEEVA.
nisha: Due to his nature It all happens automatically
bindu: YES, precisely .. now you see it.
bindu: This or that bit of knowledge seen from this or that point of view seems
stupid only by comparison; evil seems evil only by comparison but to He who is
incomparable, all knowledge it valid - even ignorance.
No knowledge is less knowledge than other knowledge; it is simply He being
conscious in Himself; He does not see duality; He does not see difference; He
accepts Himself totally; or he is schizophrenic and the numberless Jeeva appear
in Him.
The Jeeva are mad, only he is sane
nisha: well ji.. i have to tell u one thing.. i do know all these.. but it is
not sinking in. i will easily get confused at a point even though i have the
knowledge.. there is no understanding of it fully.
nisha: Yes ji, but the insanity must exist in him otherwise the Jiva cannot be
insane.
bindu: Yes.. exactly as various levels of knowership of His own Self in Himself
hence the multiplicity of being and the ever expanding and evolving nature of
the Consciousness exists as countless degrees of all modes of his consciousness.
This is his omniscience.
His consciousness extends into all beings from the highest to the lowest and
beyond in both and all directions from a given point of view anywhere or
anywhen.
nisha: hmmm nisha: yes.. So he is not even limited by anything not even by
madness!
bindu: When we learn that it is HE WHO ACCEPTS HIMSELF and worships Himself and
sings bajans to Himself and prays for and to Himself we will know the truth of
who He is. So Ananta Is about infinite acceptance of all modes of his OWN
consciousness.
nisha: One cannot fully comprehend the nature of The Self. Sat gives rise to the
existence.
nisha: what is cit ji?
bindu: All that exists is cit.... but that which is beyond and aware of the
existence of cit is not even cit ... it is far greater.... it is impossible to
talk about it, the words do not go there; we can merely point at the sky
An analogy will be -------->
He disolves into His own face when He comes toward Himself.
hence also the words and minds and Cosmos dissolves in the same way.
nisha: All that exists is bliss? Satchitananda jai jai?
bindu:Yes, but for the human to immerse totally in THAT he will die
so there is the Sahaja Samadhi so that he can remain with us. At any moment he
may go away or seem normal, or become a mad man
he is an Avadhut.
nisha: In between two mentations and in deep sleep, I am shining in my own
glory. Even the ego is not there."
bindu: Yes, He shines forth as the whole of existence; Om Tat Sat
He flashes forth as the conscient Cosmos named ParamAtma within which all
exists. Yet in himself he is unspeakable
nisha: The essence of presence is all that there is.
bindu:
bindu: Yes, Sheer preisence -- utterly conscious. So at some point the ones who
know Him say "enough is enough i need go no further as i know Him". They
recognize Him; and live like normal men - or mad men - or seem like children -
they are avadhut.
So the depth of this is covered here at one stroke.
nisha: Thank u very much for explaining the unexplainable.
