An unmanned light was established on a white hut 3 m high, initially with an acetylene powered light which was converted in 1984 to an automatic solar powered flashing light.

 

Wild goats have been be found on the island (latest recorded evidence in 2002 when plans were underway to cull a variety of feral animals from the Archipelago islands) - local legend has it they were placed there for shipwrecked sailors.
