UNIFORM DETAILS:

Coat: Like the Grenadiers, blue cloth, but with scarlet collar, lapels and cuffs.
Turnbacks were also scarlet with gold grenades.
The collar, lapels, cuffs, turnbacks and pockets were edged with gold lace.
Epaulettes were gold trefoil.

The buttonholes on the lapels and on the pockets were edged with gold lace and gold tassels (Brandenbourgs) as were the three and buttonholes on either side of the coat.

Before 1804 the red colour was crimson with 5 buttons on the lapel, but this changed to scarlet with seven buttons from 1804.

Trousers and Waistcoat: White

Boots: Officer type boots turned down or  White Gaiters

Chapeau: Edged with gold lace and the stiffeners, cockade strap, and tassels were gold. A mixture of crimson and white feathered edging and a cluster of ostrich feathers was worn (crimson, white, crimson) with a central plume of white feathers.
