As human growth hormone (hGH) falls in our 30's and 40's, this may be why our minds, like our muscle tone, becomes less sharp with age.
This applies to everyone but some 8-10 years ago, polio research showed that polio survivors, particul-arly if they are having PPS problems, are more likely to record hGH levels that are substantially lower than other people of similar age. However attempts to correct this by giving hGH have been disappointing. (Human growth hormone effect on serum IGF-I & muscle function in polio survivors. HUMAN GROWTH HORMONE RELEASER
But one of our members here in WA, Pat Dargan,
has been using a natural human growth hormone releaser for over a year
now with great success.
This new treatment does not involve actually taking hGH but rather a herbal mix that stimulates the pituitary, (the gland that releases hGH in the first few hours of sleep), to increase its own production and helps to rebuild and re-strengthen the pituitary itself. This method of increasing hGH supports the body's own production and is therefore safer and more natural. Other methods that give hGH may slow down or stop production.
Clinical trials on hGH releaser have been done in USA (but not on polios) and benefits claimed of raising hGH levels include - restoring muscle mass, decreasing body fat, improving cholesterol levels, normalising blood pressure, increasing energy, improving sleep and memory, restoring hair and hair colour, thickening skin and reducing wrinkles, increasing heart and sexual function and improving the immune system. Sounds like just what we want doesn't it?
The pituitary gland, located in the brain, is the master gland that regulates all the other glands. So getting the pituitary to work better, results in an improvement in all other glands ie the pituitary produces stimulating hormones that affect insulin, thyroid, cortisone and sex hormones as well as body growth and repair. All organs are affected including the brain. hGH stops the cell destruction that occurs with normal aging, at the mitochondrial and DNA level.
Growth hormone production occurs in the first few hours of deep sleep and is stimulated by a high protein meal, lowered blood glucose, prolonged fasting, exercise, stress, emotional excitement, dieting, taking glutamine, adrenaline and L-Dopa.
hGH production is lessened with age, obesity, sleep deprivation, fatty meals or raised cholesterol. The lower the hGH level, the faster we age.
Trials already undertaken on hGH releaser over the last 8 years have shown that people can achieve the hGH levels they would have had in their 20's. The hGH releaser we are trialling has a special blend of the herbs Herba Epimedii, Motherwort, Condurongo Bark, Gingo Biloba, Chinese Mugwort and Spiny Jujubee; amino acids - arginine, lysine, orthinine and glutamine; Vitamin B3, an aloe vera derivative & homeopathic Pituitarium post.30 in rice vinegar and soy seed oil. It is 100% natural and has no synthetic ingredients. It is in a liquid form for best absorption.
The regime is to take 10-12 drops twice a day for 3 months then have 2 weeks off it. This is repeated 3 times then taken only every 2-3 days to maintain improved pituitary function.
Pat has found this has got her out of the wheel-chair
she had had to resort to, to back to walking unaided She noticed
a big difference after only 10 days and improvement continued at a slower
rate for 6-7 months. As well as energy levels, her eyesight has improved
and she is dreaming again. There are no side effects and if you stop
taking it you gradually return to poorer levels but not worse that before
you started taking it.
UPDATE February 2005. The
results of our in-house trial were inconclusive. There were no measurable
differences in blood tests for cholesterol or blood sugar levels. People
on the trial reported that they felt better - more "pepped up", slept better
and woke up refreshed. At the conclusion of the trial only 2 people
continued taking the hGH releaser.
